The long-term goal is to become an intimate app a couple can share to strengthen their relationship and trigger deep conversation.
A Working App for Real Couples
Everything required for two real people to actually use Other You together. This phase ships as one complete release.
Persona creation
- Persona profiles: alias, origin story, short descriptive bio, trait tags, emoji or photo
- Reorder and delete personas
Date matching
- Slot machine-like spin matching two personas for a date
- Lock individual slots and re-spin the rest
- Manual scroll through personas
- Accept → Complete flow with date history
- Shared canonical match result synced to both partners
Partner connection
- Invite link: share via text, email, or any messaging app
- QR code for in-person connection
- Manual code as a fallback
- End-to-end encrypted persona sync via Supabase
- Offline queue: changes sync when both are online
- Disconnect with partner notification

Moving beyond basic persona spins with the addition of inspirational date prompts.

- Journal feature added to history with reflection prompts and the recording of date theme details
- Multi device sync: devices can sync when on the same network

Automated personalization and expanded date idea library.
